This past Saturday was America Recycles Day. We would like to send a huge shout out to our BETA club members for helping us to celebrate recycling everyday here at Sunnyside!

We would like to send a huge THANK YOU to the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the NC Coastal Pines Brownies Troop #1013 from Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for stopping by today with generous donations for our school community. Attenion Sunnyside Families, when you visit our front office, you will be greeted by more than just Mrs. Carroll! The candy monster has moved in and is looking for something to eat! Send bags of individually wrapped candy for your student to feed the candy monster! He promises to share with our Fall Festival 😉

The Sunnyside Tigers showed up in navy and gold today to show our support of 1800, the Golden Bulls. We send our thoughts and prayers to the EE Smith school community.

At Sunnyside, we want to see everyone succeed, and that includes our ! We were so excited to get a suprise visit from our former TA and now US Army SPC Hart today!

Our K-2 students enjoyed a fire prevention and safety presentation from the Vander Fire Department this morning!

Don't forget! Tomorrow is our Open House for our new kindergarten students! The event will take place from 9-11 am. Families will be able to meet their kindergarten student's teacher, tour the classroom, and find out about the amazing year of learning ahead! Please enter through the doors at the cafeteria. As always, we will be using our Open Gate Weapons Detection System, so please limit the amount of items you bring with you into the building to expedite your entry. We look forward to seeing all of our brand new Tigers and their families tomorrow!
