As our school year comes to a close, we wanted to take time to thank some of our recent community partners. Many thanks to Still on the Hill, Ozark Folkways, XNA Northwest Arkansas National Airport, Fayetteville Public Television, and UA Power Group. Our community partners give students real-world exposure that can ignite their curiosity and make learning more impactful.

Ending 2025-26 in service to others is the FVA way! Our Mu Alpha Theta chapter loves to serve those families at the Ronald McDonald house in hopes that a good meal brings them a little comfort at the end of their day. 💜🌎

Mrs. Howard and crew created this LandArt to symbolize their learning journey this year.
How it was Created: We scavenged the available natural resources such as stones, broken limbs, sticks, flowers, dead leaves, green leaves, pebbles, acorns, and weeds to create our land art. We laid sticks in a wavy pattern that ended in a ying/yang symbol. The path was lined with precariously stacked stones. The Ying half was filled with green leaves, wild flowers, and acorns. The Yang half was filled with dead leaves and pebbles.
The Meaning of It All:
The Path: The winding path represents the twisted plot of both the narratives we wrote and the lives we live.
The Stacked Stones: The precariously stacked stones progressively grew in size leading to the climax, which was represented by the highest stack of rocks. After the climax, the stacks of rocks decreased in size which represented the falling action and resolution.
The Spiral: The spiral represents how the internal conflict leads to a peaceful resolution in the end. It represents the beginning of the end.
The Ying/Yang: Each half represents how our narratives and our lives, symbolically, are filled with conflict, but can end in balance or inner peace.
