Children with learning differences often look like this rock. But man, with the right mediating experience, you see a whole different side of these beautiful kids! There is so much in them to be brought out!
We provide achievement testing for homeschooled students. Woodcock Johnson Achievement Testing: $100/ student testing takes @ 2 hours
Educational Therapy is provided for students who have learning differences; we help them in their weak areas, so they can learn more efficiently!

HIGH SCHOOL Homeschooling parents:
We are hosting a virtual information session for our High School Connections program on Monday, March 23 from 5:30–6:30 PM, and we would be delighted to have interested students and families join us.
This session is designed for both students and parents to learn more about:
Dual enrollment opportunities through FTCC
Available educational pathways aligned with career goals
How FTCC supports students in preparing for employment or continuing to a four-year institution
The goal is to provide helpful, practical information so families can determine if this program might be a good fit for their students.
If possible, we would greatly appreciate you sharing this invitation with your homeschool network. Families can learn more and register here: https://faytechcc.event451.sites.451.io/event/1529363?p=ZmF5dGVjaGNjLmV2ZW50cy4xNTI5MzYz
Thank you for the important work you do in supporting homeschool families in our community.

Have you ever looked closely at the double eights in the NILD logo?
They're more than a design choice.
They reflect the rhythmic, integrated movement at the heart of one of our foundational techniques: Rhythmic Writing.
Rhythmic Writing helps students:
Strengthen attention and focus
Improve handwriting fluency
Build visual-motor coordination
Develop working memory
It's a beautiful picture of what NILD Educational Therapy does - bringing rhythm, structure, and intentional mediation together to help students learn more efficiently and with greater confidence.

Q: What makes techniques like Buzzer, Math Block, and Rhythmic Writing so powerful?
A: They're multimodal and intentional.
• Buzzer strengthens auditory processing, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and reasoning.
• Math Block builds conceptual understanding, visual imagery, number sense, problem-solving skills, and math confidence.
• Rhythmic Writing stabilizes attention, rhythm, motor planning, and handwriting - and surprisingly, it often improves executive function.
•
• Each technique is designed to integrate cognitive and academic development, not treat them separate

Q: Why so much emphasis on structured literacy?
A: Because it works. Structured literacy provides the explicit, systematic teaching that developing readers and writers need. NILD techniques align beautifully with this research, weaving phonological awareness, orthographic knowledge, memory, language, and reasoning into every lesson.

Q: What does "mediated learning" actually mean?
A: Mediated Learning is at the core of NILD therapy. Instead of giving students answers, we guide them to think about how they're thinking. We help them plan, reason, reflect, revise, and gain confidence. Over time, students become more independent learners - and that's the real goal.

Merry Christmas 2025 from Rudy and Cherene! We thank God for Rudys healing over the past year and for the ways he has blessed us with each other! God has been so good to us and I think the best thing about Him is that he is “God with us” and that’s what Christmas reminds me of -That he came down from heaven to be one of us to experience ALL that we went through from infancy through traumatic death in order to offer us salvation to each one who will receive him! Wishing you a Christ filled Christmas! He lives today, He calls you to be His, have you received Him? He is the Best Gift of all.
