Calling all Band Members! Summer Band Camp is about to begin.

For anyone who wants to join Percussion or Auxiliary band camp starts July 13th from 8am-1pm

Anyone who wants to play an instrument in the band or who’s first year it will be in the band has to go to rookie camp which starts July 20- July 24th from 8am-1pm

Senior Awards Night 2026!

Senior Awards Night 2026 was a HUGE success! Our Eagles secured over $4 million in scholarships! Great Job to everyone who made this possible!

Douglas Byrd has done it AGAIN! Congratulations to Tristian and Nilan for earning BRONZE at the NATIONAL SkillsUSA Competition in Atlanta! These Eagles placed 3rd in a field of 27 teams, competing in the Drones division. They represented the State of North Carolina and Douglas Byrd High School very well. We are so proud of them and their coaches. Great job!

The DBHS Eagles were honored to visit JW C**n Elementary school and show the students there what all their hard work will lead to in the future! This was such a great experience for everyone. Thank you Cougar Nation! We will be seeing you soon at The Nest!
