Welcome to the Pirate Family, Mr. Marc Paul Fulgencio!

Please help us welcome Marc Paul Fulgencio, our new Math teacher, to Massey Hill Classical High School.

Mr. Fulgencio holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Math Education from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines. He obtained his first Master of Arts Degree in Education - Innovative in Learning and Teaching from University of South Wales, United Kingdom. This year, he will be completing his second Master of Arts Degree in Education - Mathematics.

With a passion for teaching and mentoring students, his goal is to help guide every student to master mathematical concepts and become lifelong learners. He comes to us with over 14 years of teaching experience in Math at the secondary level in both private and public schools across the Philippines and the United States.

Mr. Fulgencio has also written and published several mathematics textbooks and co-authored international research papers. He has presented internationally, contributing knowledge, innovative practices, and professional expertise to an international audience.

We are very excited to have Mr. Fulgencio as part of our team. Welcome to Pirate Nation!

🏆 🎉🎭MHCHS cast of Hadestown:Teen Edition was honored with the DPAC Rising Star Award for Best Ensemble! 🏆🎉🎭

Our Hadestown:Teen Edition cast was proudly celebrated in May 2026 for an incredible accomplishment, and we wanted to shine a spotlight on this special recognition with our Massey Hill community on social media!

The Best Ensemble award recognizes the power of the cast as a whole—not just individual performances, but the way everyone came together to tell one story, support one another, and create a world onstage. Hadestown truly depends on that kind of teamwork, and our cast brought it every night of the performance.

And none of it would have sounded the same without our incredible pit! Our musicians worked alongside the cast to create the rich, driving sound of Hadestown, helping bring Anaïs Mitchell’s music to life and supporting the actors through every beat, transition, and emotional moment.

We also want to give a special recognition to our MHCHS Fine Arts Dept. whose vision, guidance, expertise, and countless hours behind the scenes helped make this production possible. Their commitment to our students and the arts continues to provide opportunities for our students to shine.

We are proud to celebrate this achievement again and shine a well deserved spotlight on our amazing students and staff at Massey Hill! We are Pirate Proud! 🎉🎉🎉

🎉Congratulations, Massey Hill Classical Band!🏆

We are so proud of our band students for being recognized as a 2025-2026 Program of Merit by the North Carolina Bandmasters Association!👏

This honor reflects their hard work, dedication, perseverance, and passion for music. Through Concert Band, Jazz Band, Rock Band, musical productions, All-County & All-District Band, and community events, our students continue to develop their musical talents while strengthening their leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

This accomplishment would not be possible without the dedication, expertise, and commitment of our band teacher, Mr. Harvey, who continues to inspire and challenge our students to reach their full potential.
