One of my favorite parts of these trips is what happens after the official events. Today, after the awards ceremony, we wandered through the National Museum of Natural History and the National Air and Space Museum. Watching students connect what they've learned in the classroom to real artifacts, engineering, and science is what makes these experiences unforgettable.

Today our students had an incredible opportunity to experience government in action with a private tour of the U.S. Capitol. They also had the chance to visit the Senate and House galleries, giving them a firsthand look at where our nation's laws are debated and decided.
A special thank you to Senator Marsha Blackburn and her staff for helping make this educational experience possible. Opportunities like these bring civics to life and inspire students to better understand how our government works.

These photos are exactly why we love TSA.
Yes, we're in Washington, D.C. competing at Nationals. Yes, medals are exciting. But when we look at these smiles, we're reminded that the real victory isn't always found on a stage.
It's found in the confidence that grows when students step outside their comfort zones. It's found in the friendships built during long travel days, shared meals, and unforgettable adventures. It's found in the moments when students discover they are capable of more than they ever imagined.
This group includes students who have been on this journey for years and a first-time National Conference attendee experiencing it all for the very first time. Watching seasoned members share their love of TSA and watching new members discover what makes this organization so special is a reminder of what TSA is really about.
This trip is about so much more than competition. It's about growth. It's about connections. It's about learning to navigate new places, meeting people from across the country, and creating memories that will last long after Nationals is over.
No matter what happens in competition, we're already celebrating the wins that matter most. The laughter. The friendships. The confidence. The experiences.
Their smiles say it all.

Transportation Modeling
Theme: The Sky Is Not the Limit – Next-Generation Space Travel
Transportation Modeling challenges students to design innovative transportation systems that could support the future of space exploration. Participants use research, engineering principles, and creativity to develop solutions for moving people and cargo beyond Earth.
Board Game Design
Title: Red, Yellow, Go
Board Game Design challenges students to create an engaging game that teaches players about traffic laws, transportation safety, and responsible decision-making. Through gameplay, students demonstrate their understanding of the rules that help keep transportation systems safe and efficient.
Although both events focus on transportation, each competition explores a different aspect of how people move safely and effectively through their environment.
