🌟 Lovelace is a doctoral student in Higher Education and Administration.

Lovelace is an advocate for gender equality and youth empowerment, especially for young girls and individuals from underrepresented communities. She is passionate about bridging gaps between education, policy, and opportunity.

Lovelace was recently invited to participate in the 2026 United Nation's Economic and Social Council Youth Forum in New York.

🌟Sloane is a Master’s student in History, focused on the history of medicine and its intersection with gender identity.

Sloane is the Welcome and Belonging Graduate Assistant for our office, overseeing the conversation club program and our cross cultural mentors as well as helping plan Immigration Basics and answering new international student arrival questions.

🌟 Ruvindu Perera is doctoral student in Cellular and Molecular Biology.
His research is focused on developing and evaluating bacterial vaccinees to reduce BCO lameness in broiler chickens
This past year Ruvindu won the 3 Mintue Thesis competition at the U of A, eventually advancing to present his research in the final round of the Conference of Southern Graduate School

Happy day two of Grad Student Appreciation Week!

🌟Today we are highlighting Clement Asamoah, student in the Masters of Operations Management Program.

Clement has completed two other masters degrees, one in his home country and another at the U of A, both in Agricultural Economics.

He is also the Engagement Graduate Assistant in the International Students and Scholar’s Office, working alongside the Engagement Team to program exciting cultural events for the campus and community.

Happy Grad Appreciation Week! We are so grateful for all the hard work our graduate students are doing on campus. To celebrate, we are highlighting a few of our graduate students!

⭐️ Amirreza Davar is currently completing his doctorate in Engineering at the University of Arkansas, focused on Robot Learning.
Amirreza’s research is focused on developing AI-powered robotics that learn from human movements to carefully handle chickens in processing plants, helping solve labor shortages, improve safety, and advance automation in agriculture.
