Hello, everybody. My name is Paul Perrone, and I want to help you improve your writing for any subject through in-person (in the Syracuse, NY area) and online tutoring sessions.

I have 15 years' experience teaching at the high school and college levels. At first, I taught business at the high school level. I then sought work at the college level, pitching myself mostly as a business communication/business English instructor. As it turned out, though, it was there that I made my foray into teaching English composition, research, and rhetoric.

Teaching college-level composition classes has left me well-equipped for tutoring writing at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Not only did I learn pre-writing techniques for my students, but I also learned how to help students manage references and citations in both APA and MLA style. My experience even continued in a non-degreed program required by the college that saw me doing doctoral-level work - as a student.

To supplement my personal experience, I am working toward accreditation with the National Tutoring Association. I have already taken webinars on learning styles and learning preferences, as well as other factors in the science of working with students in a one-on-one setting.

In essence, although I may be new to the tutoring business, I'm definitely not new to teaching and learning, particularly when it comes to writing instruction. I'm hoping my enthusiasm for the language, experience, and adaptability make me your choice for in-person or online tutoring and instruction.
