AVID Site Teams hard at work at AVID Summer Institute in Dallas!

Teachers from FHS, Ramay and Woodland attended AVID Summer Institute to learn strategies to use in their classrooms and share with their colleagues so that they can prepare ALL students to be college and career ready.

Good luck to all of our AVID students as they take their finals and prepare for summer break.

Today is AVID Seniors last day. They celebrated with a breakfast and special awards. This group of kids are ready to tackle the world.

Tonight we celebrated our seniors and the $1,358,000 they received in college scholarships. 🎓🎉 We also welcomed back all of our returning AVID students and our new AVID students. Next year we will have 450 students in AVID and are so excited for their future. Thanks to all the families that came out to support our program.

A huge congratulations to Ms. Bottoms who is our January Teacher of the Month!🎉 Students and staff voted for Ms. Bottoms to represent our January Capturing Kids’ Hearts character trait, which was respect! She truly respects the perspectives of all of her students, believes in all of their potential, and goes above and beyond to create meaningful opportunities and experiences in her AVID classes. We’re so grateful to have her as part of our Ramay family!🖤🤍
