Holy God,
We give you thanks and praise as our One true God, Father Son and Holy Spirit. We come to offer prayer this day for the world gathering of Global Methodist Church and the Delegates to General Conference.
We pray that God’s Holy Spirit is flooding into Johannesburg, South Africa, as over seven-thousand congregations are represented in gathering and offering your love, grace and mercy in the name of Jesus Christ.
We ask for your protection of all leaders, delegates and observers in the two-week gathering of our great denomination.
Today, we especially pray for our own Dana and Wayne as they make their way to Johannesburg, South Africa. Dana has led and is leading our whole denomination in the power of prayer by your Holy Spirit, praying for your presence and guidance of the Global Methodist Church gathering.
Dana has been gifted with the Spirit’s calling to craft, guide and exercise prayer to your honor and your glory. Keep Dana and Wayne covered in your providential care as they go to lead your church in the gift of prayer!
We pray for traveling mercies, for sustaining strength, and for clarity of calling in making your presence real and powerful through the word of prayer as you use Dana and Wayne.
May the Global Methodist Church and its work be a reflection of your love, oh God! May the vision, mission, and the decisions of our great denomination bring you honor and glory.
And now Father, may all the human preparations for a meeting of your church be to your Honor, to your Glory and to your Fame. May the work of the Holy Spirit lead and guide every delegate to return at the end of General Conference with a Holy Fire that catches each of your congregations on fire for your will to be done in seeking out and saving the lost to
Jesus Christ forgiveness and love!
