CMU S-Nats

This is the official page for the CMU student chapter of NATS.

The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) is the largest professional association of teachers of singing in the world. NATS offers many opportunities to further the education of its members, including workshops, intern programs, master classes, and conferences. Members of the student chapter at CMU in Fayette attend competitions biannually and host/perform in master classes on campus.

The Central Methodist University opera workshop will present its annual performance with a show entitled “Music, Masks, and Merriment,” opening February 11.

I tend to agree! Having even a slight vibrato can be a healthier choice singing this repertoire and does allow you to share a sound unique to your voice.

The performer who originated the role of Cosette in Les Miserables has said shows no longer created parts for women with vibrato voices

The second MidMissouri Student Audition coming up on April 6th in Columbia. Mark your calendars singers and voice teachers !

Attention all area voice teachers! Mid-MO NATS will be holding our second annual local chapter auditions on Saturday, April 6 from approximately 8 AM - 2 PM at Stephens College.
