🟠 JCES Is Celebrating International Dot Day! 🟠

On September 15th, our scholars will join students around the world in celebrating creativity, courage, and the power of making their mark! Inspired by The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, International Dot Day reminds every child that something amazing can begin with one small dot—and the confidence to try! 🎨✨

We encourage our students to wear dots or polka dots as we celebrate imagination, self-expression, and the unique mark each scholar brings to Jefferson County Elementary!

📚 Kindergarten Families, It’s KRA Time! 📚💚

Our Kindergarten Readiness Assessment will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. in each scholar’s homeroom classroom. Students will use their iPads to take the assessment.

Please ensure your child arrives at school on time, well-rested, and ready to show what they know! Scholars may wear a green testing shirt with navy, black, or khaki uniform bottoms.
