🎉👓👂 A SUCCESSFUL DAY OF SCREENINGS AT JCELC! 👂👓🎉
The Jefferson County Early Learning Collaborative (JCELC) is excited to celebrate the success of our Hearing and Vision Screenings for our Pre-K students! 💚💛
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Alcorn State University School of Nursing for partnering with us to provide this important service to our young learners. Early hearing and vision screenings are an important part of supporting children’s learning, communication, development, and overall school readiness.
💜💛 A special THANK YOU to the School of Nursing department, instructors, faculty, and staff for your professionalism, expertise, and commitment to serving our students. We are especially grateful to the Alcorn State University nursing students who worked so patiently and compassionately with our little learners.

“I was truly impressed by the Alcorn State University nursing students. From the moment they began working with our children, their professionalism was evident. They were kind, respectful, patient, and incredibly attentive to the needs of our young learners. Most importantly, they interacted with our students with confidence and care, and it was clear that they were well prepared for the work they were doing.
Our little ones can sometimes require a little extra patience and reassurance, and these students handled every interaction beautifully. They made our children feel comfortable while completing an important health screening.
If today was any indication of the healthcare professionals they are becoming, they are going to be AWESOME nurses! 🩺💜 I am proud that our JCELC students had an opportunity to be part of their journey, and we wish each of them continued success.”
