🟠 JCES Is Celebrating International Dot Day! 🟠

On September 15th, our scholars will join students around the world in celebrating creativity, courage, and the power of making their mark! Inspired by The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, International Dot Day reminds every child that something amazing can begin with one small dotβ€”and the confidence to try! 🎨✨

We encourage our students to wear dots or polka dots as we celebrate imagination, self-expression, and the unique mark each scholar brings to Jefferson County Elementary!

Make your markβ€”and see where it takes you! πŸ–ŒοΈπŸŸ

Get those smiles ready because Jefferson County Elementary Picture Day is happening Friday, September 11, 2026 for our PreK–5th Grade Tigers! πŸ―πŸ’™πŸ’›

Students should still wear their school uniform, but we want to see who can make their uniform UNIQUE by dressing it up! πŸŽ€πŸ‘”βœ¨

Add a bow tie, cute bow, suspenders, cardigan, vest, fun shoes, accessories, or your own special touch while keeping it school appropriate!

πŸ’™ Dress it up.
πŸ’› Stand out.

🌟🍎 BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN PRE-K! 🍎🌟

We are SO excited about all the awesome things we have in store for our Pre-K students this school year! πŸ’™πŸ’› From engaging learning experiences and hands-on activities to family events, special celebrations, and plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and shineβ€”this is going to be an AMAZING year! πŸŽ‰πŸ“šβœ¨

For the first three weeks of school, our Pre-K teachers have been intentionally implementing Set Up for Success as outlined in the Mississippi Beginnings Curriculum. During this important time, our students have been learning classroom routines, building relationships, practicing expectations, exploring their learning environment, and developing the skills they need to become confident and successful learners. πŸ§©πŸ–οΈβœοΈ

And now… we’re ready to jump into the curriculum! πŸš€

πŸ“š Beginning Monday, August 24th, our classrooms will officially start Unit 1, Week 1 of Mississippi Beginnings!

Our teachers have been working hard to create classrooms where children feel safe, loved, supported, challenged, and excited about learning. We can’t wait for our families to see all the learning, laughter, creativity, exploration, and growth that will take place this year! ❀️

At the Jefferson County Early Learning Collaborative, we know that Pre-K is more than preparation for kindergartenβ€”it is the foundation for a lifetime of learning. πŸŒ±πŸŽ“

✨ The foundation has been set. The classrooms are ready. Our teachers are ready. And our little learners are ready!

Stay tuned, families… we have so much in store for our Pre-K scholars this year! πŸ₯³πŸ“šπŸŽ
