Now's your chance!

Our raffle benefitting Ms. Jen in her fight with cancer is now open to our families AND to the public!

Pick your prize (or prizes!) and use the QR code to Venmo your entry donation to Ms. Renae, our On-Site Operator. In the Venmo, be sure to indicate for which prizes you are entering. Your name will be added to a ticket and added to that prize.
Tickets will be pulled randomly to choose a winner.

If you would rather just make a donation, those are welcome too, and may also be sent via Venmo, or dropped off at the school.

The raffle will close at 9 am on Friday, October 23rd. Winners will be announced via our page, and prizes can be picked up at the school.

And PLEASE, stop in, pay a visit to the businesses who supported us by donating raffle prizes. Our Farragut and greater Knoxville community and both past and current Goddard School families have really stood up, stood together, and showed their support for Ms. Jen! Individual businesses are tagged with their prize. We also thank Stefanos - Hardin Valley, Ham 'N Goodys, and Magnolia Jean Banners for contributing to our Festival in support of Ms. Jen, as well as the individuals and families who gave raffle prizes or made a monetary donation.

Thank you to all!

Now let the raffle begin!

In honor of Columbus Day, our little TWOS artists explored their creativity by creating beautiful artwork inspired by the mosaic art style! Using a variety of colors and small pieces to build their designs, our students practiced their fine motor skills, creativity, and attention to detail. We loved seeing each child’s unique interpretation come to life, one piece at a time! 🖌️ 🎨✨

This week, our Twos have been learning all about communication! One of the stories they explored to help support this week’s theme was Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? The children enjoyed the book so much that they decided to put their creativity and crafting skills to the test!
With the help of their teachers, the children created animal masks inspired by the characters in the story. They took turns holding up their masks and making the sounds associated with each animal, exploring how animals use sounds to communicate. It was a fun, hands-on activity that encouraged creativity, language development, and self-expression while bringing the story to life!

📰🌎 Happy World News Day! 🌎📰
Our classes had a fantastic time learning all about the different parts of the news! Students explored how news is shared, discussed important elements of a news story, and had the opportunity to practice becoming little reporters themselves. 🎤📺
They did an amazing job learning, participating, and sharing their ideas! We are so proud of our future news anchors and reporters! ⭐

Every Goddard class has their own schedule, but here’s a peek of how a day can look:

9am: Morning meeting ☀️
Songs, check-ins and questions spark curiosity and connection.

11am: Outdoor Learning & Play 🍃
Climb, dig, build and explore the natural world.

12pm: Lunch! 🍎
Time to refuel and connect.

3pm: Learning Centers 🎨
Choice-driven play builds independence and imagination.

The thing about a Goddard preschooler is they’re going to be curious. Keep the questions coming 👏

Personally, we’d hire them as videographers 📹

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.

Dream job of the week: Glitter House Painter 🏠✨ While ambitions may change, the confidence they build through learning, exploring, and trying new things is here to stay.
