The world 🌎 got a little bit more awesome with Frater John Devaney earning his Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. John is the long term President & CEO of Cape Fear Clinic. A Charitable clinic.

Congratulations Frater Titanium Russ, jury is out on whether Russ is more machine than man as he has been rebuild so many times, we wish him a strong, lustrous, corrosion-resistant retirement like the metal he is made off.

Join us in celebating Russell Hancock, who's retiring from Henrico County Division of Fire after 20 years of outstanding service. Russ joined Henrico Fire in 2005 and has served in various assignments as a Career Firefighter/Paramedic on B-Shift at Westerre Firehouse 22, Shady Grove Firehouse 16, Regency Firehouse 9, and Short Pump Firehouse 19. He was also a drone operator with the Robotics Response Team, a drone-pilot trainer, and he led the the Division’s welding shop.

Russ earned several unit commendations and citations through the years after responding to significant fires and other working incidents. Now, Russ is looking forward to spending more time (especially holidays) with his family, and taking more joyrides on his Harley!

Congratulations, Russ, on your well-deserved retirement! Thank you for your service to Henrico Fire and the community.

The CTCCE is excited to announce that our very own Damien Coy, Paramedic Program Regional Coordinator, has been named the 2024 EMS Educator of the Year by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians!

The recipient of this award demonstrates excellence in providing EMS education to students, as well as serving as an outstanding role model for their students and fellow educators.

We are very proud of Damien and his accomplishments and are looking forward to his continued efforts in the classroom and his positive influence on the direction of the EMS profession.

So right about now the kids are playing with the 130 toys we collected at our Toy for Tots Party earlier this month. We had a nice brother turn out, some faces we had not seen in a long time. Our gracious host Steve Wertz did a bang up job and all the leg work to get the toys to the Marines in time.
