Parents and students,
This is something I have been dreading to write for weeks now, however, I fear this is the time. Due to COVID-19, I will be closing our dojo after being part of this community for 12 years. The financial stress is one I can no longer handle. In addition, with today's uncertainty of how to keep everyone safe, I do not see a way to sustain, and more importantly, gain students in order to keep our doors open.
I would like to say what a pleasure it has been to work with each and every family that has been to our dojo, either presently in the dojo or the past. In addition, please keep in mind, as one door closes another opens. If you are a current student, you may feel that this is the door closing in your martial arts career, however, what other door has opened? Maybe you now have time to train in some other aspect that you could not have before (wrestling, MMA, boxing, etc..)? Maybe this will get you thinking and participating in other interests that you have not thought of before.
I wish you all the best of luck and apologize for not being part of your growth as a martial artist beyond this point. Our last class online will be 7/22/20.
Yours in the martial arts,
Jason Kurdziel
