SJC’s Spring ‘25 Fire academy cadets are in full swing for their first week. Help support them on their first Combat Challenge, this Friday 1/24/25 8am at the college Fire Tower on South Hutton. It will be chilly so dress accordingly.

Fire Science Instructor Travis Robinson was awarded the President Mission Award for his tireless dedication to excellence and continuous willingness to go above and beyond to better the Fire Science program as a whole, as well as its facilities and equipment. He consistently shows willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure the program/academy is successful. This awards consist of a unique plaque and a monetary award from the SJC FOUNDATION.

San Juan College cadets celebrate their completion of the Fall 2024 academy. Help us in congratulating this group as they prepare for their transition from cadet to firefighter.

San Juan College Fire Science cadets were able to demonstrate some of the skills they’ve been learning to friends and family last night at our Family night. This allows our cadets loved ones an opportunity to see what their commitment and sacrifices have allowed their cadet to achieve this semester.
We all know we couldn’t do this without the support of our community.

Today as we at SJC Fire Science celebrate Veteran’s Day. We want to take a moment to recognize our veterans. Both staff and cadets have served, sacrificed for our great nation and its citizens. We are proud to have you with us and thank you for your commitment.

San Juan College Fire Science cadets have been learning and practicing various skills of ventilation. These skills will be used on structure fires to increase survivability and reduce damages.

Watch that first step, it’s a doosie!! SJC Fire Science students continue their training in Tech Rescue this week. They will continue to develop, use and refine these skills in some precarious positions these last few days.
