The Anti-bullying walk, everyone, K-12 participated. It was a windy but beautiful day. We made posters, held focus groups, engaged in role playing, decorated our classroom doors, and taught self advocacy all month. This was the culminating activity.

Farmers for Life had a fantastic day of pre-Vic and transition learning at the Workplace Skills Expo sponsored by PERFECT. Kudos to Mrs. Surer for inviting us. Turns out, students got excellent reinforcement for skills they're learning in the classroom.

*Dress for success by Goodwill Industries
All presentations were interactive and participants got to test their skills. Goodwill gave gift certificates to use at the store.

We ended the month of November volunteering for the Salvation Army. November we rang bells and filled the red kettle at HyVee in Canton, IL. Lt. Sarah provided a Marcos pizza lunch for the hungry volunteers. Service and learning paired with fun and friendship.

Fun Friday for these Farmers for Life turned out to be an outstanding learning experience. The Workplace Skills Expo exceeded their expectations. It was timely, well organized, fun and it reinforced everything they're learning in the classroom. The workshops included interview skills taught by Shalesse Pie, a three course meal for lunch with dinner table etiquette taught by a real chef, and dress to impress by Goodwill Industries. Students gave it rave reviews. Loads of compliments for the FFL also. So proud of them and their amazing parents who always support them.

Today is a day for family and friends and THANKSGIVING. I'm thankful for these young people. They completed their first Ooperation Christmas Child project. The boys baked cookies to show appreciation to everyone who packed a box or made a shipping donation. Happy Thanksgiving!

Farmington District 265 Life Skills classes went bowling at The Christian Center and had lunch at Golden Corral in Peoria. What a day we all had! Fun, fun and more fun.

Camp Big Sky this week was HUGE fun for our FARMERS. The weather was perfect, the timing was perfect, and nothing but smiles all day.
