The Christian Preschool of St. John’s Lutheran Church serves to provide a variety of religious, social, emotional, mental, and physical experiences aimed at stimulating the interests and skills of your child. John’s Christian Preschool the children receive a blend of secular and interdenominational Christian teachings. Our school follows a developmental approach to skill acquisition. All activitie

s revolve around the day’s unit of study (Five Senses, Holidays, Seasons, etc.) We strive to channel the children’s energy through gross/fine motor tasks, story time, cooking, art projects, music, field trips, etc. A child must be at least 3 (or 4) by December 1st of the year of enrollment, and must be toilet trained (“take care of themselves”). He/she must also have a completed medical report showing up-to-date immunizations required for all children attending schools in New York State. John’s Christian Preschool welcomes students of all racial, national, ethnic, and religious backgrounds; however, we are not equipped to admit a child requiring an unusual amount of attention due to mental or physical disabilities.

We had lots of fun marching in the Pumpkin Hook parade last night with some of our preschool families.

We are looking for some past students and families that might be interested in marching with us in the Pumpkin Hook parade next Friday, July 31! Parade starts at 6:45. Let us know if you might be interested. I’ll try to give more information as we get closer.

Another year is in the books. We had a great closing ceremony and party with our 4 year old class today! It’s always bitter sweet to say goodbye to these children, you get so excited for the celebration, but you miss them when it’s over. Thank you for sharing your beautiful children with us! God bless all of our preschool families.

It’s so hard to believe, but another 3 year old preschool year has come to an end. It has been an absolute pleasure teaching this class. We have the best preschool families! We hope you have a great summer and we look forward to seeing many of you again next year!

The 4 year olds had another busy week, filled with ice cream, teddy bear picnic, bus ride, playing outside, and lots of fun with our friends. These last few weeks are always jam packed with fun and lots of activities!

The school year is coming to a close, so quickly. Our 3 year olds have been busy preparing for our closing ceremony and continue to love all of our projects. It’s hard to believe, but only one more week left of school.

The days keep getting busier as the year starts coming to an end! Our 4 year olds enjoyed setting the butterflies free, making Mother’s Day gifts, and a field trip to the fire station this week.

Happy Mother’s Day from our 3 year olds! We had an amazing week celebrating our mothers and enjoyed our tea party! We also set our butterflies free this week. We are having so much fun at preschool and can’t believe another year is almost over.

Our 4 year olds enjoyed learning more about caterpillars and butterflies this week. All of our butterflies are out, we are hoping to set them free soon. We also enjoyed lots of time outside.
