Congratulations to our own Ron (R.J.) Striegel!

The San Juan College Teacher Education Department is proud to celebrate our colleague, Ron (R.J.) Striegel, on the national literary recognition of his award-winning historical novel, Land Shadows.

Ron brings the same passion for history, culture, and storytelling into the classroom that has earned his novel recognition from multiple national literary organizations. His work explores the Highland Clearances, Indigenous displacement, and political corruption in the American West, connecting history with powerful human stories.
