Last week, more than 500 Davis County kids got brand-new back-to-school wardrobes at Child Spree — shopping all three Davis County Kohl's locations with our incredible volunteers. 💙

But the moment that melted every heart? A high schooler who came to us years ago, when she and her mom were experiencing homelessness. She got her Child Spree wardrobe back then, and she never forgot what it felt like to start school looking just as cute as everyone else.

This summer, she sold temporary tattoos along the Kaysville Parade route, earned $200, and donated every dollar back — so another kid could have the same fresh start.

500 kids outfitted. One full-circle story. That's the mission.

What a night. Last week, families, students, educators, and community members came together to support Davis County kids — to help open doors for every student in our district. Because that's the whole reason we're here: to expand opportunity for every student, knock down the barriers that get in the way of learning, and bring enrichment and excellence into classrooms across Davis School District.

A huge thank you to HB Boys, the local franchisees of Burger King, for visiting our 1st and 3rd grade classrooms — and for going way above and beyond. Every single student at Adelaide is heading into summer with 10 free meals from Burger King. That's thousands of meals to help bridge the gap when school is out.
Summer hunger is real for so many kids in our community, and partners like HB Boys make sure no child has to wonder where their next meal is coming from. The crowns were a hit. The generosity is unmatched.

Our amazing high school students have been putting in the WORK all year — competing, learning, and growing through their Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). And now? They've EARNED their spots at NATIONALS! 🌟

This holiday season, Davis County showed up for our kids — and we have the check to prove it. 💙

Thanks to the Light the World Giving Machine in Ogden, Davis Education Foundation received $52,125 in community donations.

That's:
✅ 1,286 school lunches
✅ 556 hygiene kits
✅ 248 ukuleles
✅ 204 vision canes
✅ 333 welcome baskets

100% of every dollar goes directly to what donors chose. No overhead. No exceptions.

We are so grateful for this community. These resources are going to work for Davis County students right now.
