Today Four Corners REC 1 celebrates Indigenous Peoples' Day.
Our region is home to the Diné, Ute, Apache, and Pueblo peoples, whose languages, knowledge, and traditions have shaped this land for generations. We're grateful to the Native students, families, educators, and language and culture teachers who enrich our schools every day.
We remain committed to culturally responsive education that honors who our students are and where they come from.

Teaching is heart work, and our educators give so much to their students every day. To the teachers, counselors, special education staff, and support personnel across the Four Corners: your well-being matters too.

David shared practical strategies and tools that our educators can take right back to their classrooms to support students and build positive learning environments.

This October, Four Corners REC 1 is celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month! 💜
People with disabilities bring talent, perspective, and strength to every workplace, including our schools. All month we'll be honoring the educators, paraprofessionals, and staff with disabilities who serve our students. We'll also be recognizing the special education teams who help every learner build skills for life after graduation.
Inclusion starts in the classroom and carries into the workforce. Thank you to everyone across the Four Corners who makes that possible.
