Dear Esperanza Families,
Our school spelling bee is quickly approaching! Esperanza's spelling bee will be held on Friday, September 18th from 8:10 AM - 11:10 AM. Classroom spelling bees will be held in each of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms prior to our school bee. Please be on the lookout for practice sheets being sent home with students. We look forward to seeing all of our students' success!

🛟 Fourth Grade Saves Fred! 🐛

Friday, our entire fourth-grade crew took on the “Save Fred” STEM Challenge! Working in teams of 3–4, students had to use only paperclips to rescue Fred the gummy worm, get his life preserver on him, and return him safely to his cup—without touching Fred, the life preserver, or the cup with their hands!

Was it a little noisy? Absolutely! 😂 But that noise was filled with excitement, problem-solving, communication, perseverance, and teamwork. ❤️

What a fun way to kick off the year and build our fourth-grade community. Mission accomplished—Fred was saved! 🐛🛟🎉

Great news for the 2026-2027 school year: Farmington Municipal Schools will continue offering free breakfast and lunch to every student, at every school in the district, through the Community Eligibility Program (CEP).

This means your child can enjoy a nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day at no cost to your family, no applications or paperwork required.

The first day of school for all grades is Monday, August 10. The first day for San Juan College High School’s Class of 2030 is Monday, August 10, and Tuesday, August 11, for the Class of 2029. Preschool students begin on Wednesday, August 12.
