NOTE: WE START AT $25 PER EVENT, SO IT DOES NOT STRICTLY COME OUT TO $25 PER HOUR!
Mad Science of Greater Salt Lake is currently hiring for after-school presenters in Salt Lake County (lots needed in Sandy area). Mad Science of Greater Salt Lake is the local franchise of Mad Science Group, an international company that is the largest provider of science enrichment for elementary aged children. As such, all our lesson plans are done and well researched. You don't have to come up with lesson planning on your own--We provide the plans, training, and the equipment. Your job is to go to the school, teach up to 20 students for an hour, make sure they are safely picked up, clean up, and go home.
This looks great on a resume (for many areas of future employment), is a nice outlet for students, retired people, or those looking for a second job. We do require that you can lift the kit (up to 25 pounds), can get to the schools, can pass a background check, and have a personality that will inspire further desire for learning in children.
Please apply at greatersaltlake.madscience.org/workforus.aspx . Resumes are great, but this application asks the specific questions that I want to know. Questions or comments can be asked by calling the office at 801-292-8646 or texting Donna at 760-486-4799.
