Another Day of Promoting Childhood Literacy and Fun Fitness, this time at McCormick Elementary School. Our Rotary Club awarding a boy and girl in each grade a bike at the end of the year with the largest reading growth! A new fun activity was awarding 2 Texas Roadhouse gift cards to the Teacher winners of a paper, rock, scissors tournament.

Farmington Municipal Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Kevin Beckner will be the new Principal of Piedra Vista High School. Mr. Beckner is taking over for Mr. Kelly Thur, who is retiring.

“I firmly believe that when people come together with a shared purpose, there is no limit to what they can accomplish. I am truly honored and excited to return home to Piedra Vista High School as Principal. PVHS holds a special place in my heart, and I look forward to building on its proud traditions while working alongside staff, students, and the community to shape a bright future.” — Kevin Beckner

Mr. Beckner brings a wealth of experience to this role, having proudly served at Piedra Vista High School for nine years before stepping into leadership positions that have shaped his vision and purpose. His journey has included serving as a Gifted Coordinator, Assistant Principal at Mesa View, and, most recently, as Principal at Heights Middle School. Each experience has strengthened his belief in the power of collaboration and the impact of strong, unified teams.
