Have you thought about entering a workforce that significantly impacts people's lives?

UMF offers a two-course, online Employment Specialist (ES) Certificate, with one of the courses TUITION FREE. This certificate helps advance you on your job working with individuals with disabilities and limited conditions to help them find job opportunities.

UMF senior Mikayla Deschaine is graduating in 2024 with a Rehabilitation Services major and her Employment Specialist Certificate. "My biggest fear was never being able to go back to school. But Farmington proved to me it is not only possible, but it is within reach," said Deschaine.

Who is interested in free tuition? Who wants to become nationally certified as an employment specialist and help individuals to obtain and maintain employment? We are offering a May term and June term course!

The two required courses are REH 270- Fundamentals of Vocational Counseling and Placement and REH 271 - Applied Techniques of the Vocational Process.

Once a student has filled out the "intent to participate" through Educational Outreach, they can apply for the grant funds for one of the two required classes. The application is here:
