A lot of turbulence and uncertainty was going on at this time. Seemed like Covid was causing the end of the world at the time and I was on an island in the Pacific with my Marines.

On this day I was promoted to the rank of Corporal. This day always seemed very controversial to me. I had always wanted to the opportunity to fill the shoes of those before me. It was what I would do with that responsibility that troubled me.

All I did was do all I’ve been taught. Genuinely care for and and fight for your Marines, always. In turn they will care and fight for you.
