The 12th annual ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards celebrated outstanding and innovative concrete projects from around the world during the ACI Convention on Monday, October 12, 2026.🌟 The Overall Excellence honor was awarded to the Grand Paris Express L18 Viaduct in Saclay, Essonne, France which also won first place in the Bridges category.🎉

The 2nd Annual Concrete Cavalcade was recently co-hosted by the American Concrete Institute - ACI Kansas Chapter and the ACI Missouri Chapter.🌟 Speakers included ACI President Scott Anderson, Michigan Tech Professor Larry Sutter, and Nick Brimley with the Slag Cement Association.

ACI President Scott Anderson recently visited the ACI Carolinas Chapter to give a presentation. In addition, there were also insightful presentations from Chad Hensley (Executive Vice President of Concrete Group at Wayne Brothers) about PRO: An ACI Center of Excellence for Advancing Productivity, from Dave Tepke (Principal Engineer & Technical Director at SKA Consulting Engineers) about corrosion, and from Oscar Antommattei (Chief Concrete Engineer & Materials Engineering Director at Kiewit) about Mass Concrete.🌟 Thank you to everyone who attended!
