Good evening, former and current Farmington Adult ESL Students!
CARES of Farmington Hills (https://caresfh.org/) and Ward Church-Farmington Hills' Adult ESL Conversation Group of is co-hosting their 2nd Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, 11/16/24. The dinner is open to all those in the community. It will feature a classic American Thanksgiving meal along with dishes from various countries. The goal for this event it to help and support the diverse population in Farmington/Farmington Hills and surrounding communities and make everyone feel welcome! If you would like to attend either the 4:00pm or the 6:00pm dinner, the meal is free, however, registration is required at https://ward.church/events/details/?id=297591. If you, or someone you know, would like to sponsor a menu item for the dinner, sponsorships for individuals, families, groups, and businesses are available ($25, $50, $100, $250+), please email Suzanne at [email protected] for details. FPS Adult ESL sharing a resource: "Access the April issue of Easy English NEWS free at elizabethclaire.com--look for the yellow banner at the top of the home page. This ESL newspaper is FREE for reading, downloading, and printing. there are also free supplementary materials: a teacher's guide, cloze exercises, audio recordings of several of the April articles, and links to Youtube videos to provide visual input for the articles." Enjoy!

In compliance with Michigan Governor Whitmers' mandate that all K-12 schools be closed from 3/16/20 - 4/3/20 due to the spread of the coronavirus, Farmington Public School district--including our building and school office--will be closed during this time period. Consequently, there will be no morning or evening adult ESL classes held. If you are a Friday CTE student, your work will continue online. Please watch for an update about Burlington English online access--notice to be sent out by Tuesday, 3/17/20. If you were scheduled for registration, you will be contacted the week of 4/6/20 to reschedule. Should you have any questions, please email Acting Adult ESL Program Manager, Suzanne, at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you all again when classes resume on Monday, 4/6/20!

All levels--Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Class meets M-TH, 6:00-9:00pm. Students are expected to attend 3-4 nights a week. Semester dates: 3/2/20-6/11/20.
