We are excited to invite our students, families, staff, and community members to celebrate the grand opening of the Faribault Area Learning Center in its new home at the McKinley building. Join us on Wednesday, August 26, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m., followed by tours of the newly renovated space. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate this exciting new chapter and see the incredible transformation!

Freddy and Superintendent Bente had a wonderful time visiting with Falcon families and community members for National Night Out!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, take a photo, and visit with us. Events like National Night Out are a great reminder of what makes the Faribault community so special. We appreciate the opportunity to connect with our families, celebrate our community partnerships, and kick off another exciting school year together.

We enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones. Thanks for spending part of your evening with us—we're looking forward to a great year ahead!

Trystar returned for the third summer in a row to partner with Mrs. Swanson's fourth-grade Summer STEAM students. This year's engineering challenge tasked teams with designing and building the strongest free-standing paper tower using only 15 sheets of paper and 2 meters of masking tape.

Students worked together to brainstorm, test, and refine their designs before Trystar engineers Jack Zimmerman and Preston Swanson put each tower to the test to see how much weight it could support. They also presented awards recognizing engineering excellence.

The students were amazed by how strong paper could be, and they experienced firsthand that engineering is all about creativity, teamwork, perseverance, and improving designs through testing and problem-solving.

A special thank you to Trystar for partnering with us for the third consecutive summer and for inspiring the next generation of engineers!
