Some of the ALC’s finest helped out at Fall Fest today 🍁 We’d like to give a HUGE shout out to Corey and Sheana at Runamuck Toystore, Kristie at Oasis Cafe, Jackie from Wildfire Roots Clothing Co, and Julie from the Paradise Center of the Arts. They were all instrumental in making the Fall Fest happen and we are grateful they included us!

Whether you joined us in person on Wednesday to celebrate the official opening of our doors, played an integral part in our transition, or have offered your unwavering support… THANK YOU! We cannot possibly express how grateful we are for every single person who made this move possible! We’re ready for the school year to begin and to continue serving our incredible students and families!!!

Registration for the upcoming school year starts July 27th! Because we’re still in transition between buildings, we currently do not have phone access. To make an appointment to register, all students/families must email our secretary Maria Garcia at [email protected]

Greetings, ALC family! The FALC is the fortunate recipient of a grant to plant 8 fruit trees to start a small community orchard for our "new" neighborhood at McKinley! The grant is provided to us through the Faribault Foundation and will be presented at 12:30 TOMORROW (Saturday) in Central Park. The Faribault Foundation does amazing things for our community and we are excited (and grateful) they chose to help the ALC in this project. Please join us tomorrow at Central Park to celebrate this awesome opportunity!

** Any current or former ALC students in attendance are asked to gather for a quick photo after the celebration**

A few of our Faribault Area Learning Center students and staff recently had the opportunity to share about the ALC with the School Board.

They highlighted hands-on learning experiences in areas like 3D printing, digital media production, mental health and wellness, intro to nursing, and more — all designed to connect learning with student interests and future careers.

Students also shared personal reflections about how the ALC has supported their growth, confidence, relationships, attendance, and progress toward graduation. Staff shared excitement about the future of the program and the expanded opportunities connected to a future ALC facility.
