Last week, 35 students from FHS and the Faribault Area Learning Center attended Manufacturing Day in Faribault. Students toured local manufacturers, Trystar and MRG Tool and Die, and learned about the manufacturing career opportunities available in Faribault. After the tour, they went to South Central College for interactive demonstrations by college staff and students in the Machine Tool Technology and Mechatronics programs.

It was a great way for students to explore local career opportunities! Thanks to MRG Tool and Die and Trystar for hosting us!

We recently celebrated the ribbon cutting for our new school-based health center at Faribault High School! Operated by HealthFinders Collaborative, the center provides students at Faribault High School, the Area Learning Center (ALC) and Falcons Online Academy (FOA) with more accessible health care right at school. Faribault is now home to one of 43 school-based health centers in Minnesota! Having care available on-site can help reduce time away from the classroom for appointments while supporting students’ health and well-being. We’re grateful to HealthFinders Collaborative and the Minnesota School-Based Health Alliance for their partnership and commitment to improving access to health care. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ribbon cutting and to all who helped make this valuable resource possible!

Fifteen staffers attended the MHSPA State Journalism Convention today and submitted the 2025–26 yearbook for All-State consideration. The book earned a Silver Award! We are so proud! 💚

Last month, over 30 FHS students attended CareerQuest at Riverland Community College in Austin. Students spent time with interactive activities and learned more about post secondary programs and career opportunities. Some of the activities students participated in included: driving a combine simulator, wearing police gear, wearing medical scrubs, investigating a crime scene, and doing the Junior Achievement Dream Accelerator simulation.

Come out and support FHS DECA at their Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, October 11, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Faribault American Legion Post #43. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee.

Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 4–10, and free for children 3 and under. Proceeds benefit the DECA program!

In celebration of Homecoming, all Faribault Public School buildings will dismiss two hours early on Friday, October 2, 2026. Please review the important details below:

All schools will dismiss two hours early. School buses will run two hours earlier than their normal schedules.

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 2:15 p.m. and will follow the usual route.

The Homecoming Football Game kick off is at 7:00 p.m.

Roosevelt Preschool afternoon classes will be canceled. Roosevelt Preschool morning classes will run as scheduled. Full-day Pre-K and Kindergarten classes will follow the two-hour early dismissal.

All Falcons Beyond after-school programs will be canceled.

Kid’s World afternoon program will be closed.

We appreciate your flexibility and support as we celebrate this exciting tradition.
