Well… we’ve been keeping a pretty big secret. 🥹🎀

After 7 years of IVF, more losses than successes, countless appointments, 80 painful, huge progesterone needles over the summer, and surgery to remove a 2.5-inch mass that threatened my ability to have any more babies (hallelujah, it was benign!)…

we’re having a BABY GIRL. 💗

This was our fourth and final embryo transfer. Our last little embryo. She started out without a zona and against the odds, she is growing, strong, and doing exactly what we’ve prayed she would do.

Our girls have prayed for her, talked about her, and loved her long before they ever knew if she would actually get to come home to us. Seeing them in their big sister jackets is something I don’t think I’ll ever take for granted. 🥹

Our last miracle. Our rainbow baby. Our girl. 🎀

February 2027. We can’t wait to meet you. 🤍

Color Movement ❤️🧡💙💜 The perfect game if you’re in need of a good laugh, because this game is sure to make you giggle! I couldn’t stop laughing watching my students get creative with how they played this game!

Try this game with your class:
❤️Announce a color and body part
🧡The students must find a color in the room and place their body part on said color
💙If they don’t pair it in time, they sit on the carpet until a new round begins!

I promise this game is worth a shot before the end of the school year! Give it a shot and tag me if your classroom loves it!

Teachers, save this classroom game for back to school! 🎉

If you’re looking for a no-prep classroom game that gets students talking, listening, and working together, you’ll want to try this one!

✨ How to play:

1. One student looks at the picture on the board.
2. Describe what you see using words only—no pointing or gestures.
3. The other student draws based only on what they hear.
4. Compare the drawing to the original picture. How close did they get?

✨ Why play?
This simple classroom game helps students:
🩷 Build active listening skills
🩷 Strengthen speaking and oral language
🩷 Practice giving clear, detailed directions
🩷 Improve communication and teamwork
🩷 Stay engaged while learning through play

This no-prep elementary classroom game is perfect for back-to-school activities, morning meeting, partner work, brain breaks, team building, speaking and listening practice, or fast finisher time.

Teachers, save this one for your first week of school!

This no-prep listening game takes less than a minute to explain, gets every student engaged, and is perfect for brain breaks, morning meeting, indoor recess, or those moments when your class needs a quick reset.

✨ How to play:
Call out “head,” “shoulders,” or “knees” in any order, then finish with a color. Students race to grab the marker that matches the color you called. The first student to grab the correct marker earns a point!

Teachers… if your students need a review game they’ll actually beg to play, this is it. 🎉

Boom. Clap. Sn**ch. is one of my favorite ways to turn skill practice into high-energy learning.

Here’s how it works:
💥 “Boom” = students pat their legs.
👏 “Clap” = students clap their hands.
🃏 Then you call out a question, and they race to grab the correct answer card!

We’ve used it for:
⭐ Multiplication & division facts
⭐ Addition & subtraction fluency
⭐ Place value
⭐ Vocabulary
⭐ Letter identification
⭐ Sight words
⭐ Phonics skills
⭐ Fractions
⭐ Pretty much any concept you want to review!

Why teachers love it:
✔️ Gets everyone engaged
✔️ Adds movement to learning
✔️ Builds listening skills
✔️ Increases fluency
✔️ Gives immediate feedback
✔️ Encourages friendly competition and good sportsmanship

Save this for your next review lesson!

And if you know a teacher who loves easy, engaging classroom games, please send this reel to them. 💗

Things I stopped doing as a teacher that changed my life 💗

If you’re searching for teacher burnout support, teacher boundaries, or ways to survive teaching without losing yourself, this is for you.

1. I stopped having school email on my phone 24/7. I used to feel like I had to respond instantly. Now I protect my off hours so I can actually be a present mama and wife.
2. I stopped staying past my contract time every single day (it still happens but it’s not my norm). I still work hard but I don’t confuse longer hours with better teaching anymore.
3. I stopped feeling guilty for taking a sick day. Teachers are human and our kids get sick.
4. I stopped recreating my entire classroom every summer. Period.
5. I stopped surrounding myself with constant negativity about teaching. Online and in person. I curate my social feed and my conversations because mindset matters in this profession.

Teaching is still hard, but I don’t have to make it harder by abandoning myself.
