This week we were excited to host a group from the Great Plains STEM Education Center as these (almost) 8th graders spent time on campus learning about Veterinary Medicine and jobs in the field. Radiographs, bandaging, chicken handling and egg fertilization were a few of the hands on stations they worked through as they learned. Thank you for coming in and we wish you the very best as you work towards career decisions for the future! Special thank you to our flock of hens that happily taught the students about chicken anatomy and handling, good girls!! - Photo Credit: Jamie Wirth (Camp Organizer) and Stacey Ostby MEd, LVT

Sometimes you have news SO BIG its hard to put into little words......
At the April 2026 meeting of the American Veterinary Medical Association - Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA-CVTEA), the site visit completed October 2025 was evaluated and the NDSU Veterinary Technology Program was granted continued FULL ACCREDITATION with ZERO critical and ZERO major deficiencies. This is the educational equivalent of a 100% or PERFECT SCORE and we could not be more proud of our Co-Directors, LVT and DVM instructional team, and department members that assist our program and the student body, as it takes a village to have this kind of goal met. We are NDSU VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY and as we approach the 50th year of our programs educational successes, WE ARE PROUD!
