NDSU Horn Studio

A belated congratulations to the Wind Symphony horns on a very fine performance this past weekend. This was the final NDSU concert for a few of these musicians 😢. Now, onto finals and juries!!

Plenty for these horn sections to do on last night’s University Band and University Symphony Orchestra concert. Great job! Now, if only we could get those U-Band horns to loosen up and have some fun. 😉

Last week, the Navy Band Northwest woodwind quintet played a fabulous recital at NDSU. The horn studio was also lucky to have a masterclass with hornist MU2 Scott Ullman. Always a treat to hear great musicians and glean their insights.

It’s a busy but exciting semester here at ! Last week, the horn studio had an impactful masterclass with Dr. Amy Laursen, followed by an excellent recital by Dr. Laursen and her colleagues from the University of South Dakota. 📯

Sunday was a big day for instrumental music at NDSU. Superb playing by the horn sections of the University Band, Wind Symphony, and the University Symphony Orchestra. 📯 A great way to end the semester!
