Catch us at the Troll Lounge on the first Thursday (9/3) from 7:30-10 PM for our monthly Open Mic!

This month's theme is FRIENDSHIP 🤝 with the featured community song, "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers, as voted on by our Instagram followers! Theme is optional, fun is required. 😤

We are deeply saddened to hear about the tragic loss of a talented and passionate musician and teacher in our community.

We will remember Ian for the welcoming and positive energy he shared with others through his music. ❤️

Capt. Bryan Niewind said Cornelio Vasquez IV, 19, of Grand Forks, driving a BMW that struck and killed Ian Frye, "truly should not be on the road."

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARIAN! 🎻🎉

Please help us wish a very happy birthday to our violin teacher, Marian Jamora!

🤔 Did you know: Marian has been a concertmaster basically everywhere she's played, from her high school orchestra and the Memphis Youth Symphony, to co-concertmaster of the Concordia Orchestra and more! 🎻

🎶 And we love the way Marian talks about music, too... "Music allows people to come together and connect, and the best part is, a word to word conversation isn't needed." 💛

Outside of lessons, you can find Marian experimenting in the kitchen with a new recipe, going on a run, or hanging out with friends. 🍳🏃‍♀️

We're so glad to have you on the team, Marian, here's to another great year of music (and Animal Crossing)! 🎵

🌈 We're still feeling the good vibes from Saturday's Pride in the Park!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, spun the wheel, played the giant piano, and said hi. 🎡 🎹 👋 We loved meeting so many people in our community, and seeing current and former students!

Our mission to Empower, Connect, and Celebrate was really felt with everyone who came up to our orange booth. 💪 🧡

Alec Kores teaches 🥁 drums, 🎹 piano, and 🎼 songwriting, and when he's not teaching at Amped, you can find him jamming with Javi & The Brambled Hearts or performing his live-looping project, Loop In Color. 🎵

When Alec isn't making music, he likes to play hockey and frisbee golf. ⛳🏒

We are SO excited to welcome Marian Jamora to the Amped team as our newest Violin Teacher! 🎻✨

Marian picked up the violin at just 5 years old and hasn't looked back since!
She's currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at Concordia College, alongside an Orchestral Conducting certificate.

Her resume is stacked: she's a Germantown Symphony Concerto Competition winner, has performed at prestigious festivals across the country (Brevard, Round Top, Monteux, and more!), and has even earned a substitute violin position with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony.

Not only is Marian extremely talented, she is such a joy to hang out with and we know she'll make playing the violin a joy to learn! 🎉

Fun fact: when she's not making music, you can find Marian out on a run, playing Animal Crossing, or catching up on Love Island! 🏃‍♀️🎮
