NDSU Vet Tech Club

Wednesday night the Vet Tech Club held our last meeting of the year! It was a gorgeous night out and the perfect time for a bonfire! Thank you to all the ladies who came out! Big thank you to our club advisor Stacey Ostby for hosting us. (And her husband who graciously started our fire😄) We had a great time talking around the fire and making s'mores! Memories that will last forever🩷

(Although the bonfire was fun, I think the dogs stole the show😉)

Thank you to everyone that stopped out at Pawsitive Connections Tuesday night! We appreciate the three speakers who came out to talk to us about the different careers in the vet industry (Christine Schmidt - tech at West Fargo Animal Hospital, Ashley Russ - sales rep from Vetoquinol, and Keith accompanied by Pretzel - Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue). We had a great time listening and asking questions afterwards. A huge thank you to the dairy/sheep barns and bison strides for bringing some animals to the event for students to interact with! Thank you Vet Tech professors for coming out and interacting with current and incoming students!

We had prizes for those who interacted with the speakers and tables. Congratulations to everyone who won in the drawing!

Our executive team was honored to be leading the NDSU Vet Tech Club this year. We can't wait to see what the new executive team does next year!

Hi everyone! On Tuesday April 29, the NDSU Vet Tech Club is putting on Pawsitive connections! This event will be a great opportunity for those who are thinking about being in vet medicine. You'll be able to speak to people in the different aspects of the field! Not to mention we have awesome door prizes! We hope to see you there!

Yesterday the NDSU Vet Tech club went to CAARE (Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue, and Education) to help put the finishing touches on their facility before their reopening. Last May, CAARE had to shut down due to the spread of the bird flu. They are in the final stages of completing the cleaning of their building so they can reopen again. It was a lot of fun to hang out and help these ladies! If anyone would like to volunteer here doing tasks, including feeding the birds or cleaning up after them, you can contact Cassa at (701)200-0969 or Joy at (701)630-8743. They plan to open back up within the next month or two. Please consider volunteering as this is a great nonprofit who does a lot of good! 🐦🐦‍⬛

Attention chocolate lovers!! The Vet Tech Club is selling chocolate bars to raise money with the help of Worlds Finest Chocolate. We have a variety of bars from milk/dark chocolate, almond, caramel, W.F. crisp, and wafer bars. We accept cash, check, or Venmo. Don't miss out on the World's Finest Chocolate 🍫!!

This weekend the Vet Tech Club was included in the Animal Sciences Moos, Ewes, and more! Thanks to everyone who stopped out and participated in our surgeries!

Last night, the Vet Tech Club painted pumpkins! Everyone had some beautiful paintings! Thank you to everybody who came out and participated!🎃👻 🎨

Hey everybody! In honor of vet tech week, the vet tech club is hosting a pet supply drive. We are accepting donations throughout the week. All donations will go to local shelters in need. Those who bring in donations will be entered into a prize drawing. Any and every donation will be greatly appreciated!!
