New release!🚨
Alzheimer's Association 2026 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts & Figures are now available. This annual report provides a comprehensive look at national and state-level trends in Alzheimer’s, including prevalence, mortality, cost of care, and caregiving burden.
The report includes:
• Special Report: Brain Health in America
• Key Findings: updated data on prevalence, costs, mortality, and caregiver impact
• State-by-State Data: showing how Alzheimer’s affects each state
• Special section: Americans’ understanding of brain health
It also highlights important disparities, including for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities, who often face higher barriers to timely diagnosis, culturally responsive care, and support services—resulting in greater unmet caregiving and health needs.

The AIPHRC team presented at the North Dakota Public Health Conference 2026!
The team shared strength-based public health messaging centered on relationship-building and Indigenous food sovereignty. They highlighted how Indigenous food sovereignty has always been public health, and that Tribal Nations have practiced these approaches since time immemorial-- long before the term “public health” was ever coined.
The presentation also focused on lessons learned in building meaningful partnerships with Tribal Nations, Tribal Colleges and Universities, and Tribal organizations by walking alongside their goals and priorities.
It was a great experience filled with engaging conversations, learning opportunities, new connections, and strengthened relationships. Miigwech to the North Dakota Public Health Committee for hosting a great conference!
