SDA: We have had so much fun learning with you this year! Robin Hood was an incredible way to see each of you shine.
And…that’s a wrap!

SDA students are busy engaging in a who dun it CSI unit this week.
SRO Dye talked with students about the steps in solving a crime, including coming up on a crime scene, how to make inferences and sifting through relevant evidence. Officer Dye answered questions related to our "crime scene" and his path to becoming a police officer.
To solve the CSI theme mystery, student detectives also learned how to lift and analyze fingerprint data. Students used critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills to support conclusions about which suspects match the fingerprint evidence.
Students discovered it was a "loop" fingerprint which narrowed our suspect list.
Hint: Dr. Kelly and Mrs. Horner are still on the list!

SDA students shared their science fair projects last week with our learning community. Students chose the grade level science standards they wanted to learn more about, developed hypotheses, conducted experiments, gathered and analyzed data and communicated their findings multiple ways.
It’s so much fun to learn more about the topics our students become experts in through project based learning!
