Happy Founder's Day to the Y!

On this day in 1844, George Williams founded the first YMCA in London as a refuge for young men seeking escape from the hazards of life on the streets.

Since then, the Y organization has grown to serve more than 40 million people across 120 countries, played a pivotal role in the creation of basketball and Father's Day, co-founded the USO, and has left a lasting impact on every community served.

This year the national Y organization celebrates 175 years of service, while the FM area Y celebrates 140 years.

We're proud of the work this organization has accomplished, the services we've been able to provide, and the endless support from our members and community.

We look forward to serving our communities for many more years to come!

🐝✨ What a BEE-autiful day for a great cause! ✨🐝

We're still buzzing with excitement after yesterday's first ever Corporate & Community Adult Spelling Bee! Teams put their spelling skills to the test while helping raise funds for child care scholarships in our community. πŸ’›

This wasn't your average spelling bee! Teams of four worked together to correctly write and spell each word, earning points throughout the competition. From North Dakota-themed rounds to child care-themed challenges, participants tackled words ranging from hotdish and ankh to developmentally, muzak, and so many more. πŸ“πŸ

The competition was fierce, the speed rounds created quite a buzz, and the teamwork on display was simply un-bee-lievable!

πŸ† Congratulations to our winning teams! πŸ†
