There are three parts in the decision making process. The virtue of prudence order and perfects:
1. Good Counsel: seeking advice from a reasonable or trustworthy person
2. Good Judgement: Thinking rightly about a decision and carefully considering all the circumstances and asking, "What am I to do now?"
3. Command: Directly acting upon a sound decision after thoughtful deliberation.

The cardinal virtue of prudence aims to perfect our common sense in both practical and moral decisions. It is right reason in action. At our Baptism, our heavenly Father gave us this virtue to aid us in making good decisions. Like any gift, it must be guarded from that which prevents us from cultivating good habit.

📕 Battle of the Books participants took part in the Grand Battle today!

📚 This is the 3rd & final round of trivia-style ‘battles’ to test their knowledge of the plots, characters, titles & authors from an assigned book list.

📕 This year, we had 31, 3rd graders, 25, 4th graders & 21, 5th graders participate!

📚 Congratulations to all participants & a special shout out to this year’s Battle of the Books Champs!

Our 4th & 5th graders were invited to the ‘sneak peek’ of Wizard of Oz at Shanley! They gave it rave reviews. 🎭
