2026 Knowledge on Tap events at Junkyard Brewing in West Fargo has announced it's fall events. This series brings together four NDSU scholars for in-person conversations on soil science, nutrition and aging, innovation, and psychology. All events are moderated by Dr. Shari R. Veil.

HNES Department Head Yeong Rhee PhD, RD, presents "Food Is Medicine: Nutrition, Aging, and Chronic Disease Prevention" on October 13. This is a discussion on how nutrition affects aging, brain health, and the prevention of chronic disease.

We are pleased to share that Dr. Mary Larson has been named Acting Executive Director of NDSU’s School of Health Systems and Innovation, effective August 20.

Dr. Larson is an Associate Professor of Public Health and has served in a leadership role within the School, advancing strategic initiatives that bring together programs, professions, and partners across NDSU and the broader community.

With more than three decades of experience spanning public health, clinical care, higher education, and community health, Dr. Larson brings extensive experience in collaboration, leadership, workforce development, and building connections across sectors.
