Seasonal Safety Saturday: E-Bikes 🚲

E-bikes have recently become a very popular pastime for kids, including locally!

Safety starts before—and goes beyond—the ride itself. Gear up properly, stay visible and alert, and always follow local laws and safe riding practices.

With the help of more than 25 community partners, volunteers, colleagues, and attendees, we were honored to welcome over 1,600 attendees this year! We are grateful for the opportunity to work together to help keep our community's children safe.

We loved connecting with families, sharing important safety information, and making safety education fun and engaging for all. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and participated in activities throughout the day.

Thank you for following along and engaging with us throughout May as we shared information about vehicular heatstroke awareness and prevention.

While the campaign may be ending, the risk doesn’t disappear when the calendar changes.

Seasonal Safety Saturday: Summer Road Safety🌞

Summer fun is here!

We all know how busy this time of year can get, with driving to activities, vacations, celebrations, and everything in between.

Whether your drive is long or short, it's important to keep safety top of mind while on the road. Take a moment to review these summer driving safety tips before your next trip, and consider sharing them with any younger drivers in your home, too❕❕

☀️ During one of our hotter days earlier this week, we had our heatstroke temperature monitor out to demonstrate just how quickly the inside of a vehicle can heat up.

The results were eye-opening: while it was 96.5°F outside, the temperature inside the vehicle reached 125°F.

🚗 Remember: a cracked window is not enough to keep a vehicle safe, and being gone for just a few minutes can still be dangerous; never leave a child alone in a vehicle.
