Most people see child care as a place.

We see it as a launchpad. đź’™

For over 30 years, Fraser Child Care Care has been a space where children of all abilities are not only welcomed - but truly known, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are.

And behind that kind of care? Extraordinary people.

Today, on Child Care Provider Appreciation Day, we’re celebrating the ones who:
✨ notice the small wins others might miss
✨ create belonging in every moment
✨ adapt, encourage, and advocate - every single day

You’re not just caring for children. You’re shaping confidence, independence, and futures.

To our Fraser Child Care team and providers everywhere - thank you for showing up with patience, creativity, and heart. The impact you make lasts far beyond the classroom.

Comment “GRIP” to get the development stages of pencil grip and signs to watch for if a child is falling behind in pencil grip development.

Millennials and upcoming generations of kids are struggling with enough hand strength to hold and grasp a pencil.

While this image serves as a guide, it also shows how hand strength can impact learning in the classroom. Kids with weaker hand strength and pencil grip may struggle in the following areas:

👋Doesn’t know how much pressure to apply when writing
đź‘‹Trouble with letter directionality
đź‘‹Difficulty spacing letters and numbers
đź‘‹Switches hands often, which results in disconnections in the brain

To find out the stages of pencil grip development (depending on the child), comment “GRIP” and we’ll send you the link with the breakdown.

Babies remember. They just remember it differently. We remember in our brains, and they remember in their bodies.
— Meghan Schmelzer

We talk a lot about mental health these days. But we rarely talk about babies.

Mental health starts early, even before birth.

From the very beginning, babies are building their foundation. Every interaction. Every response. Every experience, good or hard, shapes their future. Learn more and get involved: https://bit.ly/40ETQdq

Comment “SIT” to find out which retained reflexes contribute to a child who is prone to sit in the W-position.

Some kids who often sit in the W-position may have retained Primitive Reflexes that can cause problems with core strength, joints, and muscle development.

If you have a child or student that frequently sits in the w-position, you may find them doing the following:

🤷‍♀️Tends to hunch over in their chair
🤷‍♀️Rocks in the chair
🤷‍♀️Lacks attention and focus
🤷‍♀️Can’t stay seated for long periods of time

Kids with one or more retained reflexes may compensate for the retention by sitting in the w-position or finding ways to support their body when uncomfortable.

To find out which reflexes are creating issues with w-sitting and lack of core strength, comment “SIT” and we’ll send you the link.
