Our first club social last week was a blast!
Thank you all for coming out last week and meeting with us. It was great to see so many new members and so many different majors. We missed a few of you for the photos but we were very pleased with the turnout!
We look forward to seeing more of you all at our next club meeting!

Hello everyone,
School from home and social distancing is definitely taking a toll on everyone so the MIS Club wants to make a difference in our local community. We started a Virtual Food Drive to try and help those less fortunate than us have the ability to access food and supplies throughout this tough time. Food banks have been getting hit the hardest as many are losing their jobs due to the closing of businesses so any donation amount will make a large impact.

Also, please share the link on any social media you have and with family who would be willing to help. The more we are able to spread the word the more we can make a difference.
Our goal at the moment is $500 which will allow us to provide a large amount of food to families and individuals in need. I know many of us don't have a lot to donate but anything will help when it truly matters.

We will be sending out an email next week with information about running for an officer position within the MIS Club. It is a great opportunity to enhance your leadership skills, get to know students, and it looks great on a resume! We encourage all to put their names in the "hat" once that time comes!
Our MIS Club meeting on January 30th is cancelled due to weather. The Career Center will be having extended hours in the Barry Hall atrium on Monday, February 4th from 9 am - 2 pm.
Hello Everyone! We hope you had a great holiday break! It's about that time of year where we all need to start preparing for the Spring Career Expo! The perfect time to get your resume or cover letter reviewed is at our upcoming club meeting on January 30th at 7:15 pm in Barry Hall 120. The career center will be providing you tips on perfecting your resume and scoring yourself an interview. They will also be discussing the upcoming Spring Career Expo which is on February 6th starting at 10 am at the Fargodome.

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Our last meeting of the semester will be this Wednesday, November 28th at 7:15 p.m. in Barry Hall 120. Federated Insurance will be talking about predictive analytics and how it relates to MIS.

Hello Everyone! The NDSU Career Center is looking to hire Career Mentors to work part time on campus next semester. The job consists of helping peers with resume reviews, cover letter assistance, and helping promote their events. No experience is required when dealing with resumes as they will teach you everything you need to know!
If you are interested all you need to do is submit a 30 second video of yourself saying your name, major, why you want to work at the Career Center, and one fun fact about yourself! Phone or laptop quality videos work great!

Unable to attend the MIS Club meeting tonight? Well, I'm not gonna lie, you missed out on great pizza, great conversation, and a great company! Thank you Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota for taking time out of your evening to host us! We enjoyed the tour (and the pizza). For those of you who missed, feel free to reach out to the officers and we'll update you about BCBS and answer any questions you may have about the club. Thanks to all who attended!
