Holiday Treats for Teachers Help us treat our teachers for the holidays! Sign up to bring holiday baked goods, candy or any other treat you can think of. Please drop off your treats at 1022 10th St. S. by Sunday, December 18 so I can deliver them to the schools for the week before winter break. Thanks!

Congratulations to Clara Barton-Hawthorne Elementary School Library Media Specialist Louie Lauer on being invited to join the School Library Journal 2022 Best Books Committee! Finding the best books for students can be a challenge for librarians and teachers. School Library Journal (SLJ) assists with that by publishing lists of the best books of the year, including summaries, reviews, and suggestions.
Lauer was invited to join this committee due to his work as a reviewer with School Library Journal and had a hand in curating the list of the best picture books for 2022. Check out the list for some great recommendations! http://ow.ly/XvYE50LRK7a
Are you looking for a fun Halloween activity? We need your help!
Sign up to help fill our Trunk or Treat spots at the CBH Fall Festival this Friday, October 28th from 5:30-7pm. Park your car in the CB parking lot, hand out candy and see all the fun costumes.
Come eat some ice cream and be social! Thursday from 6-7pm at Hawthorne. The first PTA meeting of the year will be held immediately afterward so stay for that as well.

REMINDER! Due to weather-related school cancellations, Fargo Public Schools will use the storm make up days built in to the school calendar. Fargo Public Schools will hold classes one week from today on Monday, May 16, 2022. This now a day that students and staff are expected to be at school.

Congratulations to the Clara Barton Elementary School teams on finishing second and third at the Math Masters of Minnesota competition in Moorhead on April 22!
The Clara Barton teams consisted of Josephine Ronson, Evie Pecoraro, Everett Enz, Soren Christianson, and Landon Schneider; and Teddy Chase, Rilo Simmons, Mia Heinrich, Lawrence McCarthy, and Evan Johnson. Enz placed first in the individual competition.
