In honor of Memorial Day, there is no school today at FCA. Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is a time to honor their courage, reflect on their sacrifice, and remember the freedoms we have because of them. “May we never forget that freedom isn’t free.” ❤🤍💙 Wishing our FCA families a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

One of the first and most important skills we teach is communication. 💬 Whether a student uses words, pictures, a communication device, or sign language, the goal is the same: helping them express what they want, need, and love.

Our team builds these skills by starting with each child’s favorite things and most motivating activities. Berlyn, one of our amazing SLPs, has been modeling requests on this learner’s communication device, and he is making progress toward requesting independently!
