MEAT ANIMAL EVALUATION

The Bison headed back to Texas last week to compete in the 2026 National Meat Animal Evaluation Contest. Over the course of three days, students competed in market, breeding animal, communications, and meats divisions, expanding their knowledge across many stages of production in the meat animal industry.

News from Jacob Klaudt NDSU Livestock Judging Coach:

Please mark Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, down on your calendars for an NDSU All-Judging Team Reunion and Banquet. The other evaluation coaches and I are still in the early stages of planning this event, but it will be located in Fargo.

January also brought exciting developments in recruitment. Four individuals from three junior colleges have already committed to NDSU and the 2027 Livestock Judging Team. I look forward to meeting more prospective students throughout the spring.
