It’s never too late to live fully, to reclaim your health, set new boundaries, and let go of anything or anyone that doesn’t align with your values or wellbeing—no matter your age. 🙌

Accessory strength and skill work this week. So much FUN. ✨💪 At 57, this is one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon!

I’ve met a lot of people in midlife and beyond who think it’s too late to get fit—nothing could be further from the truth! If I can be strong at my age, so can you. It’s a choice to start where you are today and build from there—and to start showing up for yourself consistently. One you’ll never regret.

I promise YOU, your life, and your future are WORTH it!

This week I am working on some barbell accessory strength and balance lifts, and handstands holds 🙃 I am always a work in progress but I get better with the time and consistency of my efforts—just as the women I train do (and MAN, nothing makes me happier to witness than to see them grow in strength and confidence—give EVERY woman a BARBELL (or a good set of dumbbells!)

Why bother with this kind of training at my age? This little complex is pure gold for aging strong:

✨ Strong bones = strong life (prevent bone loss)
✨ Balance = staying steady in every step (prevent loss of priopreception)
✨ Boost that metabolism 🔥 (keep the body in balance)
✨ Cardiovascular health = heart of gold (keep your heart and lungs strong for life)

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO REST 😌

How do you like to recharge for the week?

Rest has always been a bit tricky for me. Slowing down used to make me feel anxious, but I’ve made progress. 🌱

I've built a habit of taking time each morning to reflect, journal, meditate, plan, and pray. These practices have had a huge positive impact on my life.

But taking an entire day to rest? That's still a challenge. What does "rest" even mean?

Rest might look different for you than it does for me. I’m working my way towards more reading time, but an hour of not moving is my current limit during waking hours. That's just how I'm wired.

Whatever rest looks like for you, I hope you're finding ways to recharge that work best for YOU.

I've learned that rest doesn’t have to fit someone else's definition. It's okay to rest in the ways that work for you.

People often define rest, work, service, love, and other things, then try to impose those definitions on you. Don’t let them. You’re the creator of your life. Create a path that allows you to show up strong, healthy, and balanced. There's freedom and power in that.

Once you achieve that balance, you can make a beautiful impact wherever you go.

Enjoy your rest today, friends—whatever that looks like for you! 💖

🥒🍋 My Favorite Anti-Inflammatory Green Smoothie Recipe! 🌟

Macros per serving:
Calories: 150
Protein: 3g
Carbs: 25g
Fats: 6g

Ingredients:
2 cups (480ml) almond milk, unsweetened
2 cups (60g) spinach, packed
1/2 cucumber
1 lemon, juiced
1 inch grated turmeric (or ½ tsp. ground)
1 inch grated ginger (or 1/2 tsp. ground)
2 tbsp. chia seeds
2 cups (330g) pineapple chunks, frozen

✨ Why these ingredients are amazing:

Almond Milk: Low in calories, high in vitamins D & E
Spinach: Packed with iron, vitamins A, C & K
Cucumber: Hydrating & rich in antioxidants
Lemon: Boosts vitamin C & aids digestion

Friends, your inner peace is priceless. Life can throw curveballs, and the thoughtless actions of others can leave you feeling shaken, but you have the power to stay calm, centered, and true to yourself through it all.

Let's focus on what we can control--our mindset, reactions, well-being, and how we choose to show up in the world and treat others. We can let go of anything that doesn’t serve our wellbeing. As we get older, it is up to us to fiercely guard our peace, set necessary boundaries, and manage our stress levels to keep our health in balance (or for some of us, to regain our health).
