Happy Labor Day from Challenge Charter! 😊 (Here are some start-of-school reminders.)

We are excited to welcome our scholars to the new school year. 🐆 Tomorrow, September 8th, Kindergarten, Grade 6, and Grade 9 begin with a culture day. All grades begin on Wednesday, September 9th. 🧡

K-1 at 12-79 Redfern Avenue
Grades 2-5 at 710 Hartman Lane
Grades 6-8 at 1520 and 1526 Central Avenue
Grades 9-12 at 1520 Central Avenue

Families, no matter what grade your child is attending, please plan extra time for your arrival. Scholars must be in full uniform on day one. 🐾 Be sure to take a picture and share it with us at [email protected]. We especially love any featuring siblings.

PARENT SPOTLIGHT: Meet Oluwadamilola! 💛
For years, Oluwadamilola has been an important part of the Challenge Charter family, supporting not one, but two scholars through their educational journeys with us!
Her daughter, Rhoda, joined Challenge in 5th grade and recently celebrated a major milestone as a member of the Graduating Class of 2026! 🎓✨ Her son, Inioluwa, has continued the family tradition and has officially transitioned to 9th grade at CCHS! 📚🐆
When asked why she has remained with Challenge Charter throughout the years, Oluwadamilola shared that it comes down to the dedication of our teachers and the strong connection she has built with the school community.
“The teachers are good, and I have made a connection with the school, especially through the Family Engagement Team. I appreciate the hard work and effort the staff has put into educating my children.”

We are proud to celebrate Kaelyn, one of our Class of 2026 graduates. She is the first scholar from Challenge Charter School to earn an Athletic Scholarship to play Flag Football at Caldwell University in New Jersey! ❤️

Kaelyn is a talented multi-sport athlete who played flag football, basketball, and volleyball. 🐆 Over the past two years, we watched her grow tremendously—not only in her athletic ability, but in her confidence, determination, leadership, and commitment to her teams.

Her hard work earned her the distinction of 2025-26 Athlete of the Year, along with numerous other accomplishments throughout her high school athletic journey. 🏆 What makes this moment even more special is what Kaelyn has been able to accomplish as part of an up-and-coming athletic program. In just two years, she helped set the standard for what is possible for the athletes coming behind her.

Congratulations, Kaelyn! 🥳 We are incredibly proud of you and cannot wait to see you take your talents to the next level at Caldwell University.
